Is resin suitable for wheelchair and pushchair access?
The continuous, bound finish can create a smoother route than gravel or uneven paving. Good access still depends on clear width, gradient, thresholds and turning space, not only the surface material. We discuss the intended users during the survey and identify where steps or existing levels limit what can be achieved.
Can a resin path be curved?
Yes. Resin is mixed and laid by hand, so it can follow gentle curves and changing widths when the base and edge are built to the same shape. Curves should have a purpose, such as avoiding planting or creating a comfortable route, rather than making the path unnecessarily complicated.
What edging can be used beside a resin path?
Common choices include block setts, kerbs and other secure restraints compatible with the construction. The edge has a structural job as well as a visual one because it supports the resin at its boundary. We select the detail around lawns, planting, walls and adjoining paving during the survey.
Can resin be laid in a narrow side passage?
Often, provided there is enough working access and a suitable base can be prepared. Narrow passages may require more hand movement of materials and careful planning around drains, pipes, gates and walls. How do you keep a resin path clean?
Sweep leaves, soil and seeds before they build up, particularly in shaded garden areas. Wash the surface with water and a suitable mild cleaner as required. Moss or algae should be treated promptly with an appropriate product. Avoid aggressive pressure washing close to edges and always follow the aftercare guidance.
